May 27

Learn more about Australia’s new orphan works copyright legislation and what it means for your cultural institution.

Join us for a lunchtime Creative Technologist Talk with Elliott Bledsoe, President of Wikimedia Australia, on Australia’s new orphan works copyright legislation and what it could mean for GLAM (galleries, libraries, archives and museums) practice, fair use debates and the fast-changing realities of AI.

Elliott will briefly unpack the legislation and its implications, and open a conversation about how cultural organisations can balance access, risk and public benefit as AI becomes embedded in our workflows.

This session also introduces Elliott’s work with the Library as an AI policy researcher.

About Elliott Bledsoe
