We’re excited to open this year’s Creative Technologist Talks with an international guest whose work is reshaping what memory institutions can become in an AI-driven world. Join us for a FREE in-conversation event with Dr Ines Vodopivec (Slovenia), a leading global voice in digital heritage, AI literacy and the evolving role of libraries.

With a background in librarianship, philosophy and art history, Dr Vodopivec’s leadership spans major European memory institutions, including serving as Deputy Director of the National and University Library of Slovenia, Vice Dean at Nova University in Ljubljana and an active member of the UNESCO Memory of the World National Committee.

Today, as Secretary General of AI4LAM – an international community working at the forefront of AI for libraries, archives and museums – Dr Vodopivec collaborates closely with partners such as the National Library of Norway and Stanford University Libraries. She also contributes to shaping continental digital strategy as a Management Board Member of the Europeana Network Association.

In this conversation with Ana Tiquia (Head of Digital Strategy, Research & Insights), Dr Vodopivec will share emerging global case studies of AI adoption in libraries and explore the ethics, policy and practice shifts required across heritage institutions. A Q&A will follow the discussion.

This FREE talk is open to all, and ideal for professionals across libraries, culture, education and tech who are building AI‑ready strategies.
